Nixon Magese

Overhead Powerlines Design with PLS-CADD | POLE | TOWER

Nixon Magese is a civil engineer with unbeatable experience in electric power generation and transmission lines design and construction from across Brazzaville, Rwanda, DRC, and Malawi.

With his mastery of PLS-CADD, Magese is the one who handled the survey, design, and construction supervision of the 220kV transmission line from the Rubavu SPLK methane gas power plant to the existing transmission line in Rutsiro; he led the design review of the project, as well as the civil and structural design of the SPLK sub-station, with the team. Apart from Rwanda, he has worked on mega line projects in RDC, such as the construction of the Plateau Agro-Industrielle de Lukula, which is part of the World Bank-financed PDPC Project. He advanced to the design of High Voltage (220kV) and Medium Voltage (30kV) transmission lines, as well as structures (poles and towers) using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER software.

From conceptual lattice tower design to fabrication drawing production and approval, he worked with the steel supplier to create informative maps using ESRI software. Prior to joining Nziza; He worked in Malawi where he was involved in site design, supervision, construction, hilly site grading, and access road design, as well as earthwork computation using Civil 3D and Infraworks software.
