JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Finance and Administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and administrative functions of the company. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial expertise, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives to support the company’s growth and success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Finance and Administration at our company will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- You will develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- You will prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- You will monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- You will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- You will conduct financial analysis to assess the company’s financial performance and identify trends.
- You will provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- You will analyze key performance indicators and variances to budget/forecast.
- Treasury Management:
- You will manage cash flow, liquidity, and investments to optimize financial resources.
- You will monitor banking relationships and oversee cash management activities.
- You will develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- You will follow-ups on payments from clients and handling other local and international payments related operations
- Administrative Functions:
- You will oversee administrative functions including facilities management, procurement, and client management.
- You will negotiate contracts and manage relationships with clients.
- You will ensure efficient operations and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Strategic Planning:
- You will collaborate with the team to develop strategic plans and initiatives.
- You will provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making processes.
- You will align financial and administrative strategies with the company’s overall objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and external controls.
- You will identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- You will manage insurance coverage and other risk mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership:
- You will build a high-performing finance and administration status of the company.
- You will provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
- You will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Relations:
- You will liaise with stakeholders including government entities, industry professionals, and higher learning institutions.
- You will represent the company in financial and administrative matters as a top official.
- You will build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Technology and Innovation:
- You will stay up-to-date of technological advancements and industry trends relevant to the company’s operations.
- You will identify opportunities to leverage technology for improved financial and administrative processes.
- You will support the integration of cutting-edge technologies into training programs and operations.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- You will establish performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress against financial goals and other team’s members.
- You will set up the team’s performance goals on weekly and monthly basis and supervise their implementation
- You will study the company’s set investments that are not useful and others that are not nurture and revise them to set them for success and moneymaking.
- You will provide regular updates to the CEO on financial and administrative performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
- Proven experience (minimum of 7 years) in a senior financial and administrative management role, preferably within the education or training industry.
- Strong financial expertise with a deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills (Public speaking skills is necessary).
- Ability to think strategically and drive organizational change.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
