Another round of scholarships is here. Nziza Training Academy, Rwanda’s authorized skills development center for professionals and fresh college graduates in architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing, is proving full scholarships to 10 manufacturing enthusiasts in Rwanda.

The scholarships are only for Product design & manufacturing, a program in our MEP engineering department. Nziza programs aim to contribute to Rwanda’s skilled labor development and end their import into developing countries.

  1. Choosing the industrial gap

Industrial gap: in this opportunity, the industrial gap is defined as a gap within the country that needs to be addressed industrially.

For example, let’s take the construction industry, if you look at developed countries like USA and China, construction workers no longer plaster buildings with wooden floats and trowels, there are automatic machines where you put cement paste and it moves up and down, and finishes in minutes the work that could be done in weeks by hundreds of people.

So, in this initiative after those 2 months of training, we will request you to choose the industrial gap found in the country where you will design your technological solution to the gap you are willing to fill.

  1. Technical study and design period

You have been trained to the higher level that enables you to implement whatever idea you might have, now you have found your solution focus, then it’s time to start your technical study. It doesn’t require you to attend our classes, you only come once a week for the presentation of the progress.

  1. Virtual prototyping

Once your technical design is working well, it’s your time to prove to the management team that if it gets funding, its implementation will work well in a real-life environment.

  1. Get financial support

Once the team is convinced that your design is working well virtually, then the next step is to invest in your solution to make it work for society. You will do the cost estimation of the materials and other prerequisites needed for successful manufacturing then we provide them to you with a team of technicians who will help you in the manufacturing process.

  1. Launch your solution to the market

Once your product manufacturing is done. We will call for different people including policy-makers, standards officials, industry regulators, investors, and so on to celebrate your achievement. This will be a certification ceremony for the applicants and a go-to-market event.
