Partnership with IPRC Gishari
Rwanda’s only AEC capacity development institution, Nziza training academy has entered in partnership with one of Rwanda polytechnic engineering colleges IPRC Gishari.
The partnership aims at bringing current technology in engineering and design to the doorstep of educators of the university. Globally, Prota group, which is the world’s leading software manufacturer in civil/structural engineering, through its Authorized Academic Partners like Nziza Training Academy, assists educational institutions to shape the future of design and engineering with training and support tailored to their academic programs.
This is achieved through the integration of the latest industry technology into their training programs. Currently, Nziza training academy is the only AEC skills development institution in Rwanda, and ProtaSoftware worlds headquarter authorizes its professional training courses in structural engineering. Yesterday, in the name of Principal (CSP) David KABUYE, Madam INGABIRE Dominique Deputy Principal in Charge of Academics & Training of IPRC Gishari and Mr. Alexandre NZIRORERA, CEO of Nziza Training Academy signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective institutions.
The Deputy Principal pointed out that graduate unemployment in Rwanda currently is due to a mismatch between the available jobs and the products churned out from the country’s tertiary institutions and that this partnership will help address this challenge via linking college educators with industry-dominating technology in courses taught at IPRC Gishari.
After having all information on the unique training structure of Nziza Training Academy, She pointed on using trained graduates in the study and implementation of college’s masterplan.
Accompanied by Architect Abdul Aziz the head of architecture courses at NTA. In his words, Mr. Alexandre NZIRORERA explained that the main purpose of the academic partnership is to create educators’ experts in this Industry-demanding technology, which will help them to train students on academic and industry-required contents while in college, in order to give them the competitive advantage in the job market after school, thereby reducing graduate unemployment.
He also agreed to appoint teams of NTA graduates to the different elements to be included in the college’s masterplan. This will help them to design realistic projects while the last years NTA graduates use to refer on the random projects.
