QS Samuel is the country’s 12th registered quantity surveyor, with a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Construction Management. From ROKO construction to Horizon construction, he has been trusted by local major companies where he worked as a quantity surveyor for a long time.
Attempting to take his career to the international level, Samuel has been admired by multinational corporations; he began his career as a member of the contract management team at Turner and Townsend on the project of the new BUGESERA International Airport, where he worked as a Claims and Variations Documents Controller.
After a year of outstanding performance, the company promoted him to cost manager, where he worked for 5 months. Samuel left this British behemoth to work as a quantity surveyor for RA International, another UK-based behemoth, where he is currently in charge of digital Quantity Take-offs, Tender Management, Project Planning and Scheduling, Cost Management, Tender Control, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Subcontracts Management, Construction Cost Control, and Project Management for three African countries with his office in Mogadishu.
When it comes to digital skills, Samuel is sharp and dynamic; he has obtained various professional certifications in quantity surveying and project management software such as Planswift, MS Project, Primavera, and synchro, in which he has advanced practical experience.
