JOB OVERVIEW

As a Digital Content Officer you will be responsible for managing our organization’s social media presence and developing high-quality written content across various digital platforms. This role plays a pivotal part in promoting our courses, engaging with our audience, and enhancing our brand image in the digital sphere.

You will be tasked with creating compelling content that resonates with our target audience, driving engagement and increasing brand awareness. They will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy, curating and scheduling content for platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring social media channels, Website live chats, responding to comments and messages, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize our digital presence.

You will be responsible for developing written content for our website, blog posts, newsletters, and other digital channels. The role also involves creating visually appealing digital assets, such as images, videos, infographics, and animations, in collaboration with graphic designers and multimedia specialists. The Digital Content Officer will work to foster meaningful interactions with our online community, engaging with users, influencers, and industry stakeholders to amplify our reach and visibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Digital Content Officer at our company will have the following duties and responsibilities

  1. Social Media Management:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followership.
    • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
    • Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages, and respond promptly and appropriately.
    • Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to continuously optimize our social media presence.
  2. Content Development:
    • Generate high-quality written content for our website, blog posts, newsletters, and other digital channels to attract and engage our target audience.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for content creation, ensuring alignment with our brand voice, messaging, and objectives.
    • Conduct research on industry trends, news, and topics relevant to our audience, and incorporate them into our content strategy.
    • Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
    • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and organic traffic.
  3. Community Engagement:
    • Foster meaningful interactions and relationships with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Develop and execute social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to encourage user participation and interaction.
    • Identify and engage with influencers, partners, and industry stakeholders to amplify our reach and visibility.
    • Uphold and reinforce our brand identity and values across all digital content and interactions.
    • Monitor online conversations and sentiment about our brand, addressing any issues or concerns proactively and professionally.
    • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to ensure consistency and coherence in messaging and branding efforts.
  4. SEO and Online Advertising:
    • Conduct a comprehensive SEO audit of Nziza Training Academy’s website to identify technical issues, on-page optimization opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Optimize website structure, navigation, and metadata (title tags, meta descriptions, headers) to improve search engine visibility and rankings for targeted keywords and phrases.
    • Manage paid search campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and social media advertising platforms to drive targeted traffic and conversions, while maximizing return on investment (ROI) through strategic keyword targeting, ad copy optimization, and budget management.
    • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, engage subscribers, and promote Nziza Training Academy’s training programs, events, and resources.
    • Write compelling email copy that grabs attention, communicates value, and includes clear calls-to-action (CTAs) to drive desired actions such as registering for a training course or downloading a resource.
